Have questions about Nightlight Learning? Our FAQ aim to answer the ones we get the most - but email (email@example.com) us if you need more.
The best application of our products - for both ease of use and effectiveness - is consistently listening to our recordings at bedtime, each night. If you choose to play the recordings for your child less regularly or at other times, there could be an impact on the absorption of learning, or the time it takes to complete the learning.
That said - there are other times your child could listen to the recordings that you may find more or less convenient. An hour before your child would normally wake up could be a good time to play this for them. You could also have them listen to it as they are engaged in another activity like playing video games. Please remember, there are parts of the recording that encourage the listener to fall asleep.
Again, these are potentially less effective times for learning. For optimum results, we recommend the bedtime routine on a consistent basis.
You're going to get the best results through consistent delivery. If your child listens every night, the learning should be complete in about two weeks. If there's a night skipped here or there, you can expect to be adding a little time to the overall learning process. Optimum results will be achieved through consistent delivery of the recording, every night, at bedtime.
You might notice that some of the information is beginning to stick with your child after five to seven days. You can expect the learning delivered in each audio track to be completed in about two weeks. This is based on the assumption that the product is being used every evening at bedtime. For some kids, it may take a little longer, for others, a little less.
We launched with the multiplication tables. We are working on a secondary multiplication "refresher" program for older kids who just need a little reinforcement. We have some other ideas too. If you have any thoughts on learning you wish we were delivering, please let us know at firstname.lastname@example.org.
No. One of the keys to success with Nightlight Learning's products is maintaining a regular schedule. It shouldn't interfere with your child's regulat sleep patterns. If your child falls asleep while listening to our recording, that's okay. In addition to helping your child aborb the content being delivered, the audio track also encourages your child to fall asleep in a natural and relaxed way.
Another key to success is making it easier for everyone - and we want your child to welcome using our products, rather than see it as a cause for an earlier bedtime.
We use PayPal to process payments. Upon selecting to purchase our product, you are actually taken away from our site to PayPal's own secure payment processing site. You can read more about PayPal and payment processing security here.
Some parents may feel that using our product will delay falling asleep and reduce actual sleep time. This is not the case. Using our product will encourage your child to drift off to sleep in a comfortable and natural way.
It shouldn't. The content on the audio tracks actually encourages sleep, prompting your child to drift off in a comfortable and natural way - while also helping your child absorb the multiplication tables. Some children may feel they need to keep themselves awake to actively listen to the whole track. This is not necessary. You should encourage your child to just relax and listen to the audio track as they would to a bedtime story.
Most kids need a little extra practice. Teachers provide the basic information and application at school, but there has been an increased expectation that learning needs to be reinforced at home. Our experience with that - and other parents we know - has been time-consuming and stressful. We've used flash cards, multiplication video "games", supervised memorization. None of it was fun, or easy. It all consumed valuable family time on evenings and weekends. None of the participants - parents or kids - enjoyed any of it. Our product removes the stress, increases your family time, and helps your child master learning to help succeed in school.
There has long been an understanding that the human brain is receptive to information during that period between wakefulness and sleep. And we tested it out - and yes, also on our own kids. Check out the testimonials for more comments from people who are convinced that it works. They're all real comments, from real people.
In an inexact way, our product is more free time for your family. More exactly though - our products are audio tracks delivered online or through our apps that help children learn, memorize, build confidence and enthusiasm for learning - all as they drift off to sleep. Our current product is focused on multiplication. Our audio tracks' main content are the multiplications tables for 2 through 10.
Our brains are very receptive to taking in and retaining information during that short time period between wakefulness and sleep. Our products take advantage of this. The audio tracks set the stage for visualization and memorization, and then the content is delivered in a relaxing and confidence-building way.
